MET Costume Institute Gala

The New York's Metropolitan Museum Art transformed into a galaxy of glamour with Hollywood superstars and fashion for the Costume Institutes gala opening for the 2008exhibition of "Superheroes; Fashion and Fantasy". The honorary chairman for this years event was Italian designer Giorgio Armani and the co-chairs were actors George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Vogue's editor and chief Anna Wintour.

"Inside the museum, 30ft statues of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, contemporary versions of the ancient superheroes sculpted in marble in the museum’s Graeco-Roman gallery. The “Superheroes” exhibition opens with a mirrored illusion of Clark Kent morphing into Superman and features radical catwalk creations by some of the world’s top designers and comic book costumes from Hollywood blockbusters such as Spiderman and Batman."

Here are some of my favorite looks from last nights festivities.
