The cut-out dress appeared in the collections of several designers for the spring 2010 runway shows. Gucci, Preen, and Alexander Wang just to name a few all sent their own style of the cut out dress down the runway. The cutout dress is definitely a sexy spring and summer dress for nightlife. The cutout dress comes in several styles some of which are more sexy than others. If you are going for the overtly sexy version of this dress you must be in shape because this look does hug the body and have cutouts in unforgiving spots. Don’t fret if you have missed a few trips to the gym and you still like this look there are cut out dresses that have cutouts on the neckline and sleeves.

Nobody rocks the cutout dress like Ciara. Although this look is a little too scantily clad for my taste. Cici definitely has been in the gym and has the body to pull off this look which is probably why the cutout dress seems to be Ciara's favorite look.

If you are not comfortable with the skin bearing cutouts there are the peek-a-boo style cut outs that are covered with a mesh or a sheer fabric. Preen and BCBG Max Azria among many others showed the peek-a-boo style cut out dress in their Spring 2010 RTW collections.
